Ritek Dual Layer, 8.5GB 2.4X DVD+R Media

Dual layer DVD media is the latest technology in optical media. Dual-layer DVD+R media provides a storage capacity of 8.5 Gigabytes, which is almost twice the capacity of standard recordable DVD media. Dual layer DVD media is also known as DVD-9, which is the same capacity as commercial DVD-9 discs. Dual layer DVD+R media provides up to four hours of DVD quality video or up to 16 hours of VHS quality video. It will also store 120 hours of MP3 audio content.

Dual layer DVD media can be played in standard DVD players as well as DVD-ROM drives. Since both layers are read from the same side of the disc, there is no need to flip the disc half way through a movie.

Dual layer DVD media must be recorded on a DVD burner or recorder that supports dual layer media. Most newer model DVD burners support dual layer media. Consult your drive manual to confirm dual-layer recording capability.

Packed in spindles of 25 discs, Ritek DVD+R media is available in either branded or with a white inkjet printable top surface.
